The "Best Watch I Bought in 2014" Thread

I think this will be a fun thread.

2014 was a busy year of consolidating the direction my collection is going. I diversified, re-acquired some watches I love and overall am happy with where I'm at in the end of the year. Of the new pieces, I have to say the one which surprised me most is this DJII. I bought it sight unseen and found it to be fantastic.

What's yours?!

This one. Only Rolex I bought this year. Bought a bunch of G Shock and a few Shinola.

The best watch I bought this year was a simple Swatch for my son. He wears it every day.

Great thread. Gotta go Hulk, which I remember hating when they released it years ago. Now I'm enamored.

Have to go with the 5205R-010 (easy choice since I cut back on the number of purchases in 2014 - )

Without a shadow of a doubt: Patek 5970R the best watch I have ever had the pleasure of owning. For me if there can be only one this would be the one...Cheers,

GMT Master II 116710 BLNR.

Wanted this one since it was released in 2013 and was fortunate enough to get it as a birthday/Father's Day present in June of this year. It is a definite keeper in my collection.

Well, the best, subjectively, is always the latest one or the one currently on the wrist, but objectively, the best has to be this one.

Bought this Zenith in January and it's been my most worn watch this year.
