First battle scars on the bracelet

Hey guys, so I noticed today that I got some scuffs on my bracelet. I was wondering if anyone knew a good tip or trick to either make them less noticeable or remove them completely. I don't wanna polish them off as the marks are on a permanent link.

Little scratches add character but that's kind of big and noticeable. I would take it to an authorized dealer

What will the AD do? The watch is still under warranty so I'm not too concerned

It might just be the picture, but that looks more like a gouge than a scratch. Is it dented inward? It looks beyond anything you can make look better at home. I say this not from experience with watches, but with other things made mostly of metal that arent mentionable on these forums. If it is as bad as it looks, that would be a replacement in lieu of a refinishing or polishing out.

The trick that works best for me is to train my mind to ignore them.

It's not dented that I can notice, but it is a large scratch

If it just a scratch use a green Scotch Pad and rub gently with the grain.

Okay I'll have to give that a shot, since it still under warranty would it be worth sending into RSC?

The more you wear your watch, the more scratches it will get, making this one not seem so obvious. Problem solved!

Wear and tear such as dings and scratches aren't covered under warranty buddy...try a 3m green scotch pad but be gentle...or try and forget about it as more scratches will come with time and they can be sorted out at an RSC when it's time for service..

I'll probably just live with it and when it comes time to get the watch services I'll let an RSC sort everything out

There you go! IMO scratches add character to the watch. If you try and remove them all it will drive you nuts as well as potentially damage your watch. Just wait till service time and you will get your watch back looking like new! Then the process begins again............

If you have extra links, maybe you could have the AD change the scratched link with a new one.

Don't touch it. Just swap the 12 o'clock end and the 6 o'clock end, and you'll stop seeing it. Leave it until you have way more scratches to rebrush it.

Think of it like a car warranty. If the engine malfunctions they fix it but if your door gets scratched they aren't going to cover the body work. There will be many more scratches as you wear it, and you'll get used to them. I actually like the patina that is developing on my Explorer now

The links that close to the case are not removable without destroying the link in the process.

That's not a warranty item.

You people are nuts. Hot water and soap. Rub it with a towel, dry it off and wear it. No big deal. What's up with the over exaggerators!
