Why the Black Screw in the SD?
Just curious why this bracelet has a Black screw for the spare and last links. If anyone knows I would be most appreciative of them sharing the answer. Mine is the 16600.

It's so you know that you have the L link installed. The S link has the standard silver screw.

Must admit I was wondering about that myself. Always a simple explanation!

Besides, to see the screw you have to deploy the extension in most cases. By that time you're likely to see if it is the L or the S you have installed… I would guess that there's a different reason: Since the divers extension screw is the only one "actually" intended for user removal (you're even given the tool for that), it's probably hardened somehow to be more resistant to scratches and being black it's also easier to identify. Like all those yellow caps under the car hood, that are the only things the user is supposed to mess with... |

Both mine are too, the short link that comes installed standard, as well as the spare.
