Because 'C' of Certified is aligned slightly left to the 'H' of Chronometer whereas it is aligned directly under the 'H' on Mk2s

As PEB explained. The SCOC text is different as is the coronet and the position of the "L" underneath the coronet.

The matte dials on the mid 60's to early 80's on the Rolex "tool" watches are an area of interest for me.
