Am I the only one who does this?
Am I the only one that wake up every morning, regardless of whether I have work or not, and open up the Rolex box and just stare at the watch for good 10 minutes at least appreciating the beauty and art there is in it?
P.S Unfortunately, I can't take the watch to work...well at least not now when it's brand new and my first rolex..maybe in a while. Work area isn't too safe for it I would say. It's a true piece of art....unbelievable. |

You're not the only one. I guess we all do it. That's why we paid so much for them - because they're works of art!

Maybe not 10 minutes, but definitely do spend time staring at them.

Wear it! Best thing I ever did was get over the fear. So much better when it's on your wrist and not in the box. As long as its SS, wear it always- unless your diving in mud- hard to clean. Then you can stare at it while at work- just don't get caught :)

I've had 10 different steel Rolex over the last few years... Wouldn't ever wear one at work...
I did once - nearly had a heart attack when my mate dropped an axe and it glanced off my crystal... Fortunately it lived... But I wouldn't want to experience the fear again.... |

Wow I wouldn't have any watch I couldn't wear to work. I am of the mind set if you feel you can't wear it, you can't enjoy it to the most.

When you're staring at it "for a good 10 minutes at least", do you also happen to be clicking/rolling a couple steel balls in your hand?

I can't wear it to work well I'm afraid that it will hit something by accident or someone hit it by accident or whatever. Hell, I'm afraid it gets a scratch! That's just probably cus its my first rolex and still new. Give it sometime lol

No point spending so much money if it doesn't take your breath away a little bit. And wear it to work after 1 month, that's enough honeymoon.

Although i can appreciate it is only a week old and you're still in the babying mode. I checked mine every few hours for scratches for the first month. Once there were too many i stopped worrying about them. |

You know you got it bad when you stare at your watch and never have any idea what time it is.

During the course of the day I would probably say that I stare at my watch a lot more than 10 minutes..

Yep I think i am in this camp. I like my watches but cant say I stare at them for periods of time, every so often I linger longer when looking at my watch to check the time. But focused staring not for me.
