Err buddies...this gentleman going by the eBay User ID of WatchNut3 n having a long established "Power Seller" status in eBay ...could be found to have committed plagiarism...where he may have copied in verbatim word for word from the description of this Omega Speedmaster Pro Mark III "Deep Blue"...which is being posted in this forum as well...n in this posting...without prior consent or approval.
He has done so unethically n unfairly...to lend credence to his listing of a similar Omega Speedy Mark III...which is currently being listed for auction in eBay. What would be the appropriate course of actions...that can be taken against such of unethical & unfair practice committed by that eBay Seller...??? |

Err buddies...Orchi just received an email response from the eBay Seller WatchNut3...who is found to have copied verbatim word for word from Orchi's watch descriptions...n use them to lend credence for his own auction listing of a similar Omega Mark III watch in eBay.
He merely responded n said..."hello iam sorry for using some of your listing,i was away at the time and needed to do this very fast and yours was very good and will not do again thanks Mark" Do you folks think that...his response is sincere...? What other options can Orchi consider to take in return for his response...? Please advise... |

Hello Orchi!
It is really too bad that people/sellers (over at the bay and elsewhere) are still surfing through the forums and steal other people's work in order to set-up their auctions quickly & easily... I'm sorry to see that it has now happened to you... Since he has taken the description of you word-to-word from your posting in this very forum, this seller must frequent these pages... so he must know by now what we think of this... So I'm a bit surprised at his simple evasive answer... I'm really saddened by this practice... People should always credit their sources, and especially when it comes to selling such expensive goods... Not to mention that they should ask for permission first!! Orchi, if I were you, I'd email the seller one more time and ask him to remove the text that he took from you... and in the same email, I'd let him know that if he does not respond accordingly you would contact Ebay about this... hm...

Yes Orchi also thinks the best is to make a formal complaint with eBay...n ask him to retract the plagiarized descriptions...from his listing of a similar Omega III watch...immediately. |

Orchi, let us know the outcome... it is time to set an example here... (though I'm afraid, Ebay couldn't - and wouldn't - care less... unfortunately) Hope all goes well! buddy!
