ROLEX: Crown pops out automatically
Hi Guys
I have a submariner and have a strange situation where the crown pops out of the watch if its not being used for more than 10-12 days. This had happened twice now and i clearly remember that when i have put the watch in the box it was working and the crown was properly screwed. After opening the box after 10-12 days the crown was unscrewed and out of the case. is this normal for the watch to do so or should i be taking it to the shop for checking. appreciate the advice regards Bob |

Not normal - Screw it in a bit tighter - welcome to the Forum.

Sound like the threads are worn and you need a new crown and/or tube. Pretty common.

The crown tube threads usually wear faster than the crown threads. Any good watch maker can repair it, IF he can find the part...

I'm not sure "automatically" is the best word for what is happening...

Make sure to let it rest before serving. Welcome to the forum. You have your answer above. I would assume that the tube threads are likely worn and causing the crown to not stay screwed in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
