Rolex Insert Prices at the RSC for 16613, 16610 and 16610LV
Hello folks,
I called the Beverly Hills RSC the other day to find out the prices for the inserts for the following 3 watches: 16613, 16610 and 16610LV and here is the info: 1. 16613: $45 trade in OR $75 if you have lost the original insert. 2. 16610: same as above 3. 16610LV: $300 trade in or $425 if you have lost the original insert. For this watch, no AD will carry the insert. Rolex has told them to send this watch directly to them. For some reason, this insert is still ridiculously priced, even at the RSC. So do not pay the ridiculous prices that others are charging for inserts. Go right to the source and get y our work done. I could not believe how reasonable the prices are of these inserts at the RSC except for the LV of course. One great thing about the BH RSC, the moment you call, a live person picks up the phone and answers all your questions. How often does that happen today? THank you |

Interesting, thanks for posting. Sadly, though, the HK RSC here will only do trade ins, not sell seperately.

Yep, except for the LV, insert replacement is very reasonable. It is amazing what they charge for a Green one though.

Great info, thanks for sharing. That LV insert price is ridiculous. I wonder if there is that kind of disparity between the ceramic LN and LV inserts...

Then sell you insert on ebay and make up for the $$ or keep your insert. |

Yup -- that's price gouging --- it costs the same to make as do any other metal insert so I do not see why it is not $45 or like the others. They, ROLEX, have put the 16610LV under the microscope -- the AD's are scared to handle it.

It's apparent that people were doing exactly what you advocate, lying about it to get one to sell or put in a non-LV watch.

I'd rather just pay the extra than take a half day out of my schedule to take a number at the RSC and make up a story about losing my insert.

I applaud Rolex for increasing the price on the LV Insert. Combats copy cats. As with my LV.... I have all the original box, papers and important tags for verification.

Those prices don't bother me. I paid more than the first 2 for my 16710 Pepsi bezel recently and I installed it myself.

Well IMHO you can blame the guys for that who try and make a LV out of a normal 16610.

I just blame all those guys that put a LV bezel insert in a regular Sub, shame on you, you destroy the entire world market.

Yep, Rolex got sick of people putting the bezels on 16610 non LV Subs. Which makes no sense to me if you are trying to fool someone as you also need the maxi dial and hands.
