Identifying a DeepSea D-BLUE
Does the US warranty card indicate whether or not a DSSD has the blue or black dial?
I saw a few black DSSD dials in the FS section which I thought was odd, and got me thinking. ![]() |

Not sure I understand what you mean. The DSSD was originally offered in black dial and thus many for sale will be as such. ![]() |

Are you suggesting people are swapping the dials and selling black dial models as d-blue? Seems unlikely but who knows

![]() I am questioning whether or not folks are sourcing D-BLUE dials, slapping them on "basic" DSSDs and selling them as D-BLUEs. Hence the available black dials for sale. |

I doubt there are D-blue dials available for swapping.

Someone must have bought a D-blue and swapped out the dial. But I cannot imagine that there are a lot of D-blue dials floating around yet.

My impression was that Rolex is tight with parts. How the heck can you order the Blue dial from Rolex???

I have 2 deepsea d-blue and both of them just list 116660 and serial number only. One was purchased from Hong Kong and the other from Europe. Nowhere does it label d-blue on the warranty cards.
It is a good question then. How would others be able to tell a real d-blue from a swapped dssd? Will Rolex sell d-blue dials in future for dssd owners who wish to swap? |

My "South African" warranty card also list my D-Blue only as a 116660 - no mention of D-Blue dial.

I bought the very first D-Blue in South Africa - might have an "old" waranty card.

Warranty cards issued outside of the US typically don't have any description other than the reference and serial #'s, hence the question was asked for US issued cards.
I have know clue as to why the US has a different card than anywhere else in the world. |

Identifying a DeepSea D-BLUE
I am glad that I am not the only "crazy" D-Blue lover here! I got one for myself and one for my son if anyone is wondering.
I think it is now a fact that some warranty cards have d-blue and some don't. What remains to be answered is that whether Rolex will allow the black DSSD to change their dials to D-Blue? |

Someone on here was trying to sell a fake D-Blue dial. Those fake dials going into real original DSSDs is worrisome. Looks like only the US models are getting the "D-BLUE" distinction on the warranty cards.
