Cyclop mag opinion please! And crown help
Does my cyclop mag look 2.5x? Looks small to me and looks smaller in person than pictures.
Also another question I have is my crown sometimes get stuck when I'm trying to screw it to close position. Is this normal for the DJII? I have a few more months until my 2 year warranty expires. Thinking if I should send it in to RSC. |

Looks ok, sounds ok. Just don't force the crown. They don't always go right the first time.

Looks good! Be easy on the crown, it'll catch the threads with moderate pressure.

The mag is probably as good as you'll get. I have seen much smaller. However, in my opinion they were definitely bigger in the past.
I brought in my BLNR to RSC for a new crystal last week. My mag was smaller than yours. after the new crystal it's about the same size as yours is now. |

Mag looks ok...when I'm screwing down a crown, I always begin by turning/threading the crown counter clockwise half a turn to a turn and then thread it in clockwise...ensures a proper threading.

Mag looks fine. With the crown, make sure you are pushing it straight in so that the threads match up. If you push on an angle you could not catch the tune correctly and cross threading can occur. Best way to make sure is to push the crown in, rotate towards 6 o'clock for a quarter turn and you should hear and feel a slight click as the threads drop into place and match up. Then turn towards 12 o'clock as normal to screw the crown in.

It looks fine by me, don't think you should worry, about the crown you can always give them to check it if you're worried...

angle the watch so the bottom of the date window lines up with the bottom of the cyclops.
in the space above the magnified date window you should not be able to fit another date.. meaning there should be less black (or blank) space than what is filled by your date. mine fills about 2/3 of the space top to bottom when lined up like this. yours looks fine. |

Looks good to me...as others have said, make sure you are going straight in with the crown...if you still feel like it's sticking then have someone take a look at it.
