AP 15400 or White SS daytona

Narrowed down my next acquisition to these two, genuinely torn. Please help.

I have an Omega DSOTM and GMT iic.

I have had this going round in my head for two days. Was set on the Daytona but have an opportunity to pick up the AP at a good price.

Driving myself nuts.

Anyone own both and can tell there thoughts?

Thanks!

You couldn't narrow the choice to two more different watches. The 15400 wears a lot bigger then the Daytona, almost as it were twice the size. Therefore, I suggest you try them on before pulling the trigger.

I know - tried both on, Daytona is small, that puts me off a little as like watches with wrist presence, that said I think there is something about the Daytona that sings to me,its so iconic. AP, love on my wrist, I worry about how fragile it is as I like to wear my watches, but its shakes up my collection to 3 different brands.

I have both and like each equally so no help at all, my only advice is I would take the dial you have in the picture over the white every day of the week, but again that is just me!

I've had a Daytona and didn't like it. Found it to be small and shiny. I have a 15400 in black, and love it.

I am partial to the Daytona. That said, that AP looks too big for you IMHO, the lugs cover all your wrist, whilst the Daytona look much more proportioned.

But, hey, I said I am partial to the Daytona...

Let me throw a curve ball and say 16520! Zenith Daytona! haha I owned both, sold the AP, just found it uncomfortable and design, dare i say abit clunky dunno, the screws never grew on me. Daytona is so coooool. I also prefer the 5711 to the AP RO.

15400 would be my choice and from your pics, it looks great on you.
Daytona is a definite winner as well. If you didn't have a Rolex in the collection already I would have gone that way but you've got that covered with the GMT.

I would go with the AP 15400 due to how ot wears. I love the Daytona but would prefer if it wore a little bigger

The AP is a looker, for sure...but you said the Daytona sings to you? Plus the fact that they are completely different in function...hmm that's a tough one. I think the nod goes to the AP this time...but if I were you I would sleep on it some more.

I think the 400 looks fine on you, but at this level, just go with your heart. Maybe even sell the Omega and get both.

Tough call.

AP would give you the brand diversity, and give you a GMT, Chrono, and Daily watch.

But I've been spoiled by Rolex bracelets, and I wouldn't want another watch on a bracelet that didn't have microadjusting capabilities.

Go Daytona. I love mine!

Considering that you already have the auto chrono DSOTM I would get the AP.

I've had both - well close with a 15300 and a dial swapped Daytona. I much prefer the AP.

I would go for the Daytona.
I prefer the look of the Daytona, that watch is just something else.
I also hate the fact that the AP is extremely non durable.
A friend of mine had a scratches and eventually a light dent as well within months of use.
Maybe just me, but it matters to me when I am putting a lot of money into a watch. I don't like to be overly cautious and feel the need to baby the watch because it is very delicate. This is also keeping in mind the fact that just like you I don't have so many other watches, and inevitably your next purchase will get a lot of wrist time.
I would go for the Daytona.

Both are good choices though, all the best!

You already have a chrono with the DSOM, and the AP is amazing, so I say 15400 for more variety!
