sometimes you know you've made a good choice

Last week I decided I was going to sell my Panerai 605. I had had plenty of admirers and people saying, 'if you ever get tired of it'...
The 605 was a beautiful piece but it was just a bit too big and chunky for my wrist. The 47mm 1950 is just too big for me. The 1940s however is beautiful.
Annnnyway, I contacted a member whom I have dealt with here before, on Friday, to ask if he was interested. He was and he suggested he would trade this peice.
We met the next day, both our eyes lit up and the trade was done.
When you both feel you've traded well that's part of the joy of this hobby of hours!
The closer I look at this watch the more fascinating it becomes.
Now that i have Panerai,Rolex, AP and IWC I am having a problem in choosing which watch to wear!

Congrats toph

The finishing on the entire watch is incredible no? I find myself staring at it constantly

Sits so well on the wrist as well. Good size, weight, feel.

The finishing is of an exceptional standard. Here's a bit of a story :
I had tried on the larger chrono ROOs before but have never been overly impressed. It's more the design that I find a bit off putting on many. ( personal taste).
However I had tried on the 15400st ( or equivalent in Gold) , and straight away you could see the 'class' in every detail. Then I tried on Fellow members SS black dial and I was very impressed by it. Fast forward to last Saturday
The fit, finish, and attention to detail is certainly of a higher level than most other brands/models I have owned' including: rolex and Panerai. Now I know I have heard some bad things about the movement etc ( that has always made me a bit hesitant) but so far so good
I can see why so many have raved about this watch and thus far it's all justified.
And no I can't stop looking at it, then my GF asks, 'what's the time' , and I have no idea

have you looked at the 1940s cases? I find them to be very nicely done. Far superior to the 1959s in looks, refinement etc.

That's a stunning piece, congrats.

It's a nice problem to have trying to decide which watch to wear out of that respectable lineup of brands.
