Original bracelet for 1655?
I have kept (I hope) all of the bracelets that have been on my 1655 over the years since it was new. I have a bracelet stamped 93150 with 580 end links and a bracelet stamped C & I 74 with no stamping on the end links. Could my watch have come with the Rolex USA C & I bracelet? The watch currently has a newer 93150 with 593? endlinks. Thank you!

What year was your watch made. Mine has a 78360 solid link on it.

Not sure but I think they all originally came with 78360s. I had one in the past and it was from around 1982 with a 78360.

It would depend on your watch's serial number. Early ones could have come with a 7206 or 7836 bracelet, and later ones with 78360.
I took off the 7836 that came with my 73 Exp II and put it on a 78360 with 580 end links. I think it fits better this way. |

I went back through my notes and I'm pretty sure Dearborn Jewelers (MI) sold my father this watch new with the C&I USA made bracelet marked "74". Maybe they swapped it out before sale - they gave him a good deal on the watch because it had been sitting there for quite a while. The receipt just shows "New Explorer II" with no note of bracelet, but I have all the bracelets and this is the only one that could have been on it new.

Thanks Springer. The watch is from about 1974. My father bought it in early 76 and the jeweler told him it had been there for over a year and he was glad to see it go. The C&I makes sense then - it's the only one in my box of previous bands from the same time. I don't remember why I took it off - it's in great shape - maybe I just wanted a safety clasp.

The production date for my serial number is 1979 and I have a 78360 bracelet. Is this the wrong bracelet?

78360 bracelets were used in 1979 so it should be correct. The bracelet code could be any of the following : VD, VE, E or F. (1979, 1980, 1980 or 1981)
