New Omega Bezel (Really?..)

Omega describes their new bezel for the just released Globemaster as "bezel with character"..

Somehow the bezel looks familiar

Love the watch and the movement. Fluted bezels are not the sole domain of Rolex. This and the Speedy '57 redux are hits IMHO.

This is a good example of similarity, but with their 60's and 70's Constellation.

The pie pan dial would look better with a smooth bezel.

I saw that this morning. A lot of brands have a watch with some sort of "fluted" bezel...but this one is way too similar to Rolex's.

Just saw this one in the Omega subforum. I like it alot, and unlike the Tresor it is available in SS. I'm just holding off to Basel 2016 for 10 new configurations, maybe there will be one I will like better

Unless you are looking through Rolex glasses where you think every watch looks like a Rolex IMHO not a bit like the Rolex fluted bezel

I really like the look of the globemaster, as well as the speedy '57. my concern is case thickness for each. not sure if that's been released yet, though I imagine the new '57 case is as thick as the previous version

I am no Omega fan but I really like this watch. The bracelet version could be the first Omega I consider buying. I am sure I read on the review somewhere that the bezel is tungsten carbide. One of the reasons I am not a great fan of fluted Rolex bezels is the gold wears down over time and they loose their "sharpness". This shouldn't have the same issue.

This looks nothing like the Rolex bezel.

That Rolex glasses comment was spot on.

Tungsten carbide indestructible bezel and Metas Cert on this makes me lust for one on a style (dress, DJ like) that I normally am not drawn to. Bravo Omega
