Traveling with ROC - bracelet woes

I'm wrapping up an awesome spring break in Arizona and for the first time traveling took my ROC on its bracelet. At home, I've found it great for everyday wear but during my travels, I have run into wrist swelling problems. And of course with no micro-adjusting clasp, there were times I just couldn't wear it. I don't know all of the physiology, but am guessing the frequent changes in altitude and hydration make your wrist change in size frequently.

I don't really want to bring a watch kit (screwdrivers, extra links, etc) when I travel. So in the future, I'm wondering if this is a time to put it on a strap or go with another watch altogether. The low WR rating is also a reason it may not be an ideal single travel watch. I love my ROC, but it doesn't do me any good in its travel box. I know there are a lot of frequent travelers on TRF so was wondering what others do in this situation.

I tend to wear a watch I can adjust. If you want to travel with the ROC I'd look into getting a strap on a tang buckle for it.

Bring a different watch?

If I had to make a recommendation, it would be the Tudor Pelagos as the bracelet is highly adjustable. There's quite an extensive review here http://www.ablogtowatch.com/tudor-pelagos-watch-review/

Cheers

I have thought more and more and am agreeing with the consensus. I've either got to put it on a strap or take another watch. That blue Pelagos does look sweet and could be easily used in all travel situations. Will have to see one in person as soon as they're out
