rolex supplied in sealed box
The attached image shows the sealed plastic box in which my 116520 was supplied. This is how I shall always in future insist my order for a new watch will be supplied to me. DSC00792.jpg

That's how I received mine too.
It's a great compact storage box for the vault. Sent from the Internet. |

How was it sealed? Did you get a regular box, papers and collateral?

Always ask for them this way, from the vault, no display pieces for this kid.

I have posted the pic of the plastic box, having read the interesting recent thread;-"i think i saw a fake BLNR at an AD" all rolex models are now an expensive purchase, so why not have the pleasure of a future ordered watch being in a factory sealed box? |

Thought they just ship it like that ... Don't know how sealed it is.
Could be from rolex , could be just from one AD to another |

These are just the shipping boxes ('coffins'). I would still inspect a watch closely before accepting it.

The only down side to this I can think of is that the AD can not check the watch before you see it. I like to take my watches out of these sealed boxes at the AD but it is interesting to see the AD's face when I open the box in case there is a problem.

It's nice for receiving a brand new watch from far away lands, but there are a lot better options for carrying a Rolex, I myself would easily prefer an Oakley, but there are many others. |

That is far from sealed. Sorry, there is no way of knowing if the coffin was opened prior to purchase. Every watch I have purchased came in one of those. That is how they are stored for shipment.

As for the box itself, each time I visit the AD they give me a bag with several of these just to get rid of them. They are great for storage or for sending a watch out for service. |

Nothing identifies the plastic case as belonging to a Rolex watch. Each side on the interior has a slot in the foam that accepts the tags (red and green) and there are tabs on the outside of the case that the warranty card snaps into -- that is it. The white foam is not typical Styrofoam; it's a pliable like rubberized foam that can give and not break and it is designed with chamfered corners that match the shape of the plastic case so it only goes in one way.

Nothing. No Rolex identification markings on the plastic coffins.
