How's this one look?
The ROLEX font looks way off. Also states it's a jubilee bracelet but clearly it's an oyster. Could be a real Rolex but that dial.....yikes.

when the work is as awful as done on this dial, I say avoid the whole watch.

I think it's probably real, but the dial looks atrocious and the bezel is almost surely aftermarket.
I have to agree that why go after a watch that looks that bad, when there are plenty that are done well. I'm sure there will be others to weigh in on this one.

I wasn't looking to buy this watch, not n the least. I was just browsing the bay looking for other vintage watches and came across this one. I spotted the text on the dial in the listing photo and had to check it out. I figured I would post it here for others to see.
I'm not against refinished dials or aftermarket bezels. But I would never buy one with a refinished dial that looked like that. I can't even imagine a watchmaker putting a dial with such poor printing and font in such a nice watch. |
