AP SS Diver or Rolex RG Chocolate Daytona

The time has come to make another addition to the collection and I'm torn between these two admittedly different-styled models:

I currently own the following:

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400 SS Silver Dial
JLC Master Control Date
Rolex Sea-Dweller
Panerai 111

As I don't have a rose gold in the collection as yet, the RG Daytona seems to be the obvious choice but the SS AP Diver still has this strong allure that keeps on bringing me back to consider it.

Your opinions and/or ideas would be much appreciated! Cheers

(I've also posted this in the Rolex sub-forum just to gain some balanced opinions)

Daytona for me. I prefer the size of the daytona and love how it pairs with a rubber b. Personally love it with the black dial. no wrong answer here

I'd go with the RG Daytona. It would be a nice addition giving you something PM and a Chrono.

Even if I'm an 'AP guy' I would say Daytona...

But, this is not a 'legal fight' between those 2.
It was better:
- SS ROC vs SS Daytona or/
- RG 44mm ROO vs RG Chocolate Daytona

I owned the Daytona, beautiful watch, just know that with weak light conditions it will be hard to see what time it is, but between these 2 would say Daytona, just buy it right, I got mine BNIB for 17.5K when retail was 23.400, that's in euros, and sold it for 16K.
If you were putting the ceramic diver, black one, I would say the diver, but between these 2 the Daytona speaks to me the most, it's a beauty, I just flipped it because it was getting no wrist time, the Patek was, and I don't like it when I own a watch and don't wear it, just be sure to think good about it, my grey dealer friend told me he sold some and the buyers came back soon after to sell them to him because they couldn't tell the time, I had the ivory dial so it was better.
In any case this Daytona in RG and ceramic bezel is IMO the best looking Daytona and clearly one of the best looking Rolexes around, diver is nice but not in the same league IMO...

Diver. I once made the mistake of trading my Diver for a YG Daytona.

I agree with Vici, you need some gold! Saying that I wouldn't just pick the Daytona because it is. Also I see the Diver as a watch you might ware more often, so is that what you are looking for?

You have no gold in your collection and maybe there is a reason for that. Did you ask yourself if you'll be happy with a gold watch (and on leather strap). If I were to ask that same question to myself, the answer would be a definite no. So, I would take the AP Diver without hesitation.

I prefer the Diver to the PAM and even the 15400 so I would maybe trade either of those and also add the Daytona.

I think the daytona would compliment your collection better. Looks great on a rubber b as well.
