4 days of SD4000 bliss.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1427942963.903801.jpg
Purchased my SD4000 last Friday and have not removed the watch from my wrist except when coaching soccer. 4 days in and watch has gained 1 second. Wow! My SubC ND would gain 3 secs per day. The fit is stupendous. I love the fit of the ND and was afraid the SD would not feel as comfortable. Actually the SD fits a little better. Not sure why but probably has to do with the slightly smaller and curved lugs. My wrists are 7.25-7.5. They do contract and expand due to my rock climbing, cycling, soccer and weight lifting pursuits. I use the Glidelock continuously! The matte dial is a bit less blingy than the ND. The bezel is spot on and the half minute steps when turning the bezel is very precise. Like music to my ears. The date is legible but non obtrusive. It has a bit more wrist prescence due to the 15mm height. This watch is a keeper. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a robust tool watch that can be dressed up or dressed down. perfect piece for those who knows what they r looking for, like myself.
those who doesn't, they will just get a sub becos of the name sub. good in a way that a dweller is not for the 'general' public so to speak. |

Thanks for sharing. Would you keep the SD over the no-date if pushed to keep one?

I've had mine for nearly a year and I think it's great, your observations are spot on.
As an every day watch that can be worn for every occasion and every activity, I simply can't think of anything better. I do love the ND Sub as well, but I've owned Sea Dwellers for a few years now and have never seen another in the wild, whereas I was in a meeting this morning and three of the guys were wearing modern day Subs. I like that it's a bit different. There is only one watch that would tempt me away from the SD as my daily wearer, and that would be a Ceramic SS Daytona - if Rolex ever release one. It's not quite as versatile as an SD but it would look the nuts.

Very nice.
Why would SD be so much more accurate then SubC? Don't they have same movement? |
