Rolex in Miami South Beach

What's up TRF. I'm South Beach for a few days and getting the itch (for a watch acquisition not an STD). Any assistance for some places to visit while here.

Thanks in advance.

Orlando is a solid 4 hour drive from South Beach.

Not if you release the parking/emergency brake.

I've never been myself, but I follow CRM Jewelers on Instagram and they seem to have a solid selection.

Oscar (aka Bodybump) is in that area. I bought my Smurf from him. He's solid.

You could try Mayors at 1000 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. I would just look there, but I wouldn't buy. Oscar (bodybump) or DavidSW here will give you better deals.

I live in SoBe and have checked out all of the places. You absolutely want to go to the Design District - they have a rolex boutique - but even more they a bunch of watch stores. You could spend a few hours checking out all of them, not to mention, all of the stores opened are new as they opened just within the past couple of months. IMHO - it's something special and worth the quick trip across the bridge to Miami.

If you end up going, let us know what you think.

I thought South Beach would be teaming with Rolex sellers. Everyone seems to be wearing one.

Both real and fake... haha.

Also, I am not saying the trip to Orlando to see David would not be worth it... Just saying it would take the better part of a day to do so. I was lucky to meet with David in person on my Rolex purchase, and the experience was exceptional compared to when I tried to purchase at Mayors (in the Florida Mall). One of the perks of living in Orlando I guess.

Try the International Jewelers Exchange in Aventura. I have no idea how reputable the sellers are, but the selection under one roof is massive.

Find an actual Authorized Dealer. Only buy from an AD. NEVER NEVER EVER from someone on the internet.

Go to Rolex.com to find AD. That is All.

This is the best advice you will ever get on buying a Rolex watch.

According to many people on this forum, that is not good advice at all.

What are you looking for? Pm me if it's something specific.

There are a couple of spots you could walk-in and there are also private dealers.

Hit me up. No one has mentioned anything you couldn't have found via google.

Mayor's and the Rolex Boutique in the design district are good places to look. For a discount you will need a trusted seller whether AD or on the net.

Lots of nice watch shops at Bal Harbour. I think it is around Collins and 125th.

Maybe not the best place to buy a Rolex... but lots of cross shopping opportunities.

Have you ever bought from a trusted seller here? May be you should try before making such a statement. I mostly buy my watches from local ADs but when one of the ADs I bought many pieces from told me they can't give me any discount on a watch I was going to buy my wife I turned to one of the trusted sellers here. That was my first internet purchase of a big ticket item and admittedly was a little nerve wrecking. But I did my research and reached out to LawrenceB in Florida. The process was smooth as silk and I got my watch in 48 hours, one day earlier than promised with a saving of over $1500 to boot. I will pay a little more to support my local brick and mortar business but when they told me no discount at all after I bought so many pieces from them I found it a little offensive.

Lol, that's what the sales guy at the local Torneau told me so it must be true!

I live in Aventura and personally know Mrs. Ahmad (GM) and Joel Arencibia (Store Manager) of Rolex Aventura Mall. Wonderful people and excellent selection. They also carry the hard-to-find Rolex winder should you be in the market to acquire one. You might also want to call or visit JR Dunn in Lighthouse Point. I was in their area last week and stopped by inquiring about a Deepsea D-Blue timepiece; while they did not have one in stock, I met Mr. Dunn personally, who gifted me a copy of the hardcover book. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a SS Daytona with the black dial (116520) in the glass case.

Enjoy your visit to South Florida and the beaches.

David is solid. Bought from him, never even talked to him on the phone. Deposited funds for him while still in Finland, picked up watches in NYC and Fort Liquordale.

I just purchased an older IWC from Matthew Bain, Inc. They were extremely helpful and have a great selection of vintage Rolex pieces-which is what they really specialize in. I am also considering a GMT 16750 piece that he emailed pics of today. He is near Lincoln Road. My purchase was flawless-next day FedEx. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. Just another option since you are in So Beach.
