PAM recently stopping when sitting on a winder

Hi All,

I have had my PAM 328 for just about 5 years now. So far it has kept time well and gotten wrist time of at least 1 day/week and I keep it on a Wolf modular 4.1 winder the rest of the time (I also have my other 6 watches in my collection on a similar winder). Recently, I haven't given the watch as much wrist time and have noticed it stopping when sitting on the winder (set at 900-1000 rpd bidirectionally).

If I take it out and hand wind it and let it sit off of the winder, I typically get close to the 3 day power reserve but if I wind it up fully and then put on the winder, I am finding that it is stopping after about 5-6 days.

Has anyone had an issue like this? Is it simply time for an overhaul? I know the obvious answer is to simply wear it more but I wanted to run it by the forum here to see if anyone had any thoughts on this.

Cheers.

If it lasts 6 days on the winder it would appear that the winder is not giving it enough energy to keep it going. Maybe the watch isn't holding power, like it used too. The winder isn't rigorous enough anymore to keep it fully wound. the watch 5 years old after all. Hard to say. Maybe get it seen too
Cheers

Good point, I guess it could be the winder as well. I have actually bought another winder (so it is new) so will try testing on the new winder. The PAM is a fairly heavy watch as well and may require a little more power to keep the winder going.
