Porsche panamera.

Has anybody got one or driven one?
I'm looking at the 4.8l petrol.
Always nice to get a review of someone that's spend more than half an hour in one like most of the journalists that review them do!

If that's the naturally aspirated gts model you are making an excellent choice! I drove it on a track during a porsche track day event and it sounds as good as any model porsche makes currently.

Steering was also tight and crisp for the segment. Fit and finish of the interior is as you would expect from porsche. Also spent the day in a 6 cylinder loaner from my dealer (991 in for service). Night and day difference, that one was castrated.

I have the panamera 4 for 3 years, use it daily, great in snow, looks great in white, comfortable and sporty, no reliability issues, gets attention but not too much.......that being said, can't wait till the lease is up so I can get something new

its my DD, it is an awesome car. it handles well and the weight is manageable due to its good suspension. no it isn't a 911 but the closest thing you can get with four doors.

Funny you should ask, we looked at them yesterday, probably going back Monday to get a Cayenne though, we need the cargo room. Fine machine though

Guess there isn't that much difference in volume . . .

The Panamera has actually more in total

"The 2015 Cayenne comes standard with a power liftgate and offers up to 23.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and up to 62.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The Cayenne's overall cargo space is a bit low for the class."

"The Panamera models offer 15.7 cu. ft. of luggage space (except the Panamera S E-Hybrid and Panamera Turbo models). The Panamera S E-Hybrid provides you with 11.8 cu.ft. of luggage compartment capacity, and the Panamera Turbo models 15.2 cu.ft. All models offer enough room for four suitcases from the Porsche Driver’s Selection range – color coordinated with the exterior color of your Panamera if you wish.
The power lift gate with customizable opening angle is fitted as standard to all models. It closes conveniently at the push of a button.
By no means a common feature in this vehicle class is the fully or split-folding rear seats. The cargo position offers 44.6 cu.ft.of space (except in the Panamera S E-Hybrid and Panamera Turbo models). In conjunction with the BOSE® Surround Sound System or Burmester® High-End Surround Sound System, there are 44.1 cu.ft. – including the Panamera Turbo models – and 40.7 cu.ft. in the Panamera S E-Hybrid. A ski bag is available as an option and, to accommodate it, the centre section between the rear seats folds separately. To protect from prying eyes, the luggage compartment can be covered with the removable roller cover which is provided as standard."

You might consider an Audi S7 or RS7 too.

Hopefully nothing crops up on Monday and we'll be able to go pick up the Cayenne. New toys are fun

Always been torn on it.

Undeniably incredible performance and one of the best 4 door cars you can buy based on that.
However its just so incredibly ugly!

I agree it's not the best looking four door out there, but performance wise one of the best, and form follows function, more headroom than most

Just wait for the new one. Hopefully Porsche will fix the look of the rear. No question the best handling Porsche that can fit 4 adults in comfort.

I think it's one that grows on you......when it was first released, I thought it pretty ugly too...... But it's really grown on me over the years.

Having said that......when given the choice, I bought a Macan S over it just before Xmas and have been really amazed at the performance, handling, comfort and spaciousness........

Yea just like the Platona at first!

They have revised the front and rear last year

The Macan is a superior vehicle

I Agree the macan makes a compelling argument for pace + comfort. Real drivers care more about what it looks like from the drivers seat, and with the panamera it's all good from that angle :)

My mom just picked up her second Cayenne S in a row. She loves them...

I'm not crazy about the Panamera, but Dr. Tom's is by far the nicest one I've seen... And how cool is the RED key...

I bought a Porsche Panamera 4 in 2011. At the time most people had not seen a 4dr Sedan style Porsche before and I would get a lot of comments from random people on the parking lot, mostly in surprise, as well as quite a few "wow" type comments.

My car friends who had seen the Panamera on photos thought it didn't look so great, but all of them said that the car looks much better in person. I guess, like some people, there are some cars that don't photograph well.

As for the drive, I love the way it handles. It is firm and in control and drove beautifully even in bad road conditions which was important for me since I owned a business that opened nearly everyday regardless of weather.
