Icon7 Hello from Melbourne Australia

Hello Everyone,

I'm a newbie to the whole Rolex world and this forum.
I have come to appreciate and love all things Rolex over the last year or so.
I am hoping to but myself a new GMT2C in the next 12 months. I was wondering if anyone knows how to obtain the best price for one. A ss/gold watch retails for about 12.5K AUD here in Australia. Thanks again.

Welcome
I would go to your local authorised dealer and see if you can bargain a discount.
It also depends on the model you select, if it is in high demand then you are unlikely to get a discount.
If you are lucky you might get 10%-15 discount. If you want more discount, then you would have to consider looking to buy a used piece off the internet, but that does have much greater risks involved.

Hi abcde, welcome to TRF and enjoy your stay here!
SS GMT2c has been quoted by local AD as $8790 inc GST. I've seen both LK and THG got at least one each on display, and they've been there for like the past month.
Also saw the green dial GMT2c at LK, if that's what you like.
You might want to try haggle with them. Good luck.

Welcome!

SS IIc is an awesome watch. Good luck on finding one. Once you find your Rolex, report back and let us know how it went.

Thanks again.
Tell her if she knows what good for her she'll let you get the watch. Hopefully it's warm In country where you'll be sharing the doghouse with the dog in the back yard.

Seriously though; does she like jewelery? If so this is a good opportunity to discuss male jewelery and that this will last you your lifetime and be able to be handed down to your son or daughter some day. The watch is very nice and will remain a classic for years to come.

I have the Two Tone version and love it.

Welcome to TRF and enjoy your stay here.

I was in the city today and went window shopping at both ADs. SS GMT2c definitely is available... The 3 SS GMT2c are still on display.

But buying your 1st Rolex is also a real buzz, whether it's new, used or vintage.

Welcome to TRF, I hope you find a way to feed the Rolex demon soon

cheers
