Is the "Incoming" becoming dull and obsolete???
...Am I the only one who believes it has kind of watered-down this forum? I mean, how many times can you see the same watches posted over and over via "incoming"?? It's not like a car forum, where you at least see some variety due to modifications--there's very little of that here...
Will this forum ever evolve from this archaic practice? |

I love to see all those different wrist sizes, hair samples, skin tones, muscle structure, cheap shirts, obviously expensive shirts, and background bokeh

I think it should evolve like the ice bucket challenge evolved--by ending. It's just so tired.

I didn't say TT was white trash... I asked why it was perceived that way.

"Incoming" should have its own section then... This way, those of us who don't care to see the same movie over and over anymore don't have to, and we move on to the more interesting topics...

Is "swag" or "swaggy" becoming dull and white trashy?

Part of the joy of buying a new watch is posting a picture of it somewhere it will (mostly) be appreciated. The word "incoming" is a clue to what follows.
I think we can accommodate this little 'tradition' here.

I just want to come here and have a more enriching experience than looking at the same 10 watches over and over.... It's too redundant.

Will the mods please consider an incoming section then, so the rest of us can move on?

And on topic: This is a rolexforum. We want to post rolexes we are getting and are exciting about. If you dont like it you can log out and not come back Also. Imagine if you would post it on for example facebook. Nobody will care, just like you wont care if somebody got a new super calculator he is excited about. People on a calculator or math forum will be excited with you, just like we are excited when one gets a new Rolex.

You don't have to click on those threads.
Furthermore it's not just about the watches. We've all seen the same watches, it's about sharing in the new owner's experience and joy. |

We, as a community, should really consider giving "incoming" its own section.

Um, I know I don't have to click on it... It's about not having to wade through the same old shit over and over... You know, clean it up a bit.

Those who still need to be stroked for buying a watch can still get their attention and adulation, just in their own section.

Perhaps we should also consider doing something about misanthropes? Oh wait, the mods ban them.

Incoming is about *for me
1) congratulating someone on purchase 2) hopefully seeing a tastefully/well made shot

Guys! You can still get the attention you so desire, just in an "incoming" section, then people who want to wade through endless incomings to see your unique watch, can do so!
Meanwhile, the rest of us can be left with the more interesting topics in the general forum. |
