For sale is a very rare Rolex "Blackout" dial Explorer 1 14270.

The watch is an e-serial dating it to 1990-91.

I love this watch and would not be selling if I didn't have another. It has not been worn since service except for a wrist shot.

It has been called one of the rarest sapphire crystal Rolex watches, and is a beautiful modern vintage piece.

This one was serviced by RSC in Hong Kong in Feb of '14. I have a copy of the service receipt with serial matching this watch. The original receipt has been misplaced, but will be provided and sent if/when I locate it.

The watch comes with all 12 links (though the one link that is off the watch seems to be a newer link from the 114270 because it is solid). + 2 end links and 2 links connecting to the bracelet and will fit approximately a 8" wrist (extra link is missing from photo).

Included is just the watch, receipt copy and service pouch.

My price is $7785 OBO shipped anywhere in the USA overnight or FTF in NYC.
