possible scam on yachmaster dial.
First I bought a gen 16622 gen platinum dial.
Brought to be installed on my Rolex. Watch mm aker damaged the face. He sent out to get repaired. Gave me back an entire ly different dial. Not even the same markings see swiss made vs swiss t>25. Also the dial is shiny not sandblasted like the original. Now question is the dial I got back even gen and if so what model is it for. Any help to get this rectified would be grateful. Top dial is the one I gave my watch maker and he sent to be repaired. The bottom is what came back. 1st is second dial even gen 2nd what model is it from? Or is it just a horrible fix without the Rolex sandblasted finish. Opinions from the experts please |

Wow, what a poor refinish if it's still on the original dial, I would not accept this, he should source a new untouched and unblemished dial.

I completely agree. Talk about 'amauter hour'. Best of luck getting it rectified.

I'd be fuming if that happened. The textured sand blasted dial is what makes the the Yacht-Master for me. Most of it anyways
Good luck

The second dial is a Tritium dial???
Not Superlume and surely not an acceptable replacement based on that alone. |

No bueno.
Horrible re-print, basically ruin the value of your watch. Time to sort this out and then find a new watchmaker.

It looks very much like one of the cheap aftermarket dials seen on Ebay I am afraid.
Kind Regards Nigel |

The printing looks terrible, that alone would suggest to me there is nothing Swiss about it.

Even if it is a genuine dial it is a tritium dial. Don't know for sure but I believe the older YM dials were not always sandblast finish. But in any event it's not original to your newer watch. And the text does not seem high quality at all, which leaves me doubting its authenticity altogether.
Bottom line is it is almost irrelevant whether it's real or fake, it's totally unacceptable even if it's a real Rolex dial. But I think it's fake anyway.
