Rolex Explorer 2 16570 & replacing bracelet w/ a current one
Planning on acquiring a Rolex Explorer 2 ref. 16570. Now, question is, how much would a brand new Oyster, flat three-piece links, 904L steel, Folding Oysterlock safety clasp with Rolex Glidelock extension system cost? Or what equivalent, type a bracelet could fit that type of explorer 2? Sizing etc?
Cost? Help me out, crew. Thanks in advance. |

Rsc will only replace with parts that would originally go with your watch. You'd have to buy from a private seller to get a modern bracelet.

Why don't you just get the 216570, it hasn't got a glidelock but the bracelet is more modern. Nothing really wrong with the old type clasp.

The 42 mm wears big. I tried on both, white and black dial, had my heart set on white dial... but black dial looked better. Plus, for price, I can get a 16570 and wear it more comfortably.

Rolex retail price book states 97200 oyster bracelet with Glidelock $2100 as I recall.
I looked it up last week with my AD when I picked up my BLNR. I was tempted but just not worth the dough. |

Just go to Crowns&Buckle as i did today and get yourself a vintage strap. They look awesome and cannot wait to receive mine for my newly acquired White faced explorer II.

To fishingbear : Thank for your info about price , It's help me realize that is not worth. haha~by the way real thanks.
To Bakasana : For reference,Here is a essay about 16570+Glidelock by Auragentum ( http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=333799 ) I'm not sure that is direct installing? or need to modify? and I'm curious about it too. because I have same ideal with you. |
