First - Pam 183 your thoughts
Hi everyone,
As the title says thinking of adding a Pam 183 Radiomir Blackseal as my first Panerai to my collection. Do any of you have it in your collections and what it the view? Thanks Nick |

Love the 183 with the sandwich dial and the thin Radiormir case..
I have to admit thou, its the crown guard that drew me into the brand..but after all these years, I actually love the Rad case over the Luminor for my wrist..YMMV Good luck in your hunt... Panerai just released in-house movement Rads to replace the discontinued 183

excellent RAD with a proven movement that will be cheap and easy to service for decades.
![]() as phil mentioned, OP just announced the 609, which is an update to the 183 with the in-house 8-day movement (and "8 DAYS" written on the dial). if any of that is important, wait for the 609, or go now for the 183 and enjoy a solid piece at a good price. ![]() |

I think 183 > 609.
I say get it. I miss my 210 (183 without second hand) badly!

As a first and only PAM I would probably go for a Luminor first and then a Radiomir.

It's a great watch.
Have you tried it on? Does it sing to you? The Luminors are more sporty and chunky, so it is up to what you wear the most. The 183 will be easier to slide under a shirt cuff. The only downside I see is that half the experience of Panerai is strap changing, and it an easier task in a Luminor.

My first panerai was the 183, and I love owning it every day since. I then branched out and got a 312 later. Based on my own experience, get it! Good luck with your decision!

My first Pam was a 183 G. I loved that watch and sometimes still miss it. I know the Luminor cases are more popular, but to me the Radiomir gives a really cool retro look that is really true to the DNA of the brand.

I would choose a 210 Radiomir or the 000 / 111 Luminor which give you the strap change options.
Not a fan of the "black seal" on the dial.
