The wife thinks somethings wrong with me!
She just can't understand why I want a Platinum YM when I've only had my Sub for 2 months ! It could be because I've admired the YM as long as I have the Sub and it WILL be my next purchase........if the Sales are good and the bonus rolls in

Here's a tip Matt, develop a look of mental torment around the temples, keep a straight face & say " I don't have much out of life for God's sake!"

So Matt...are you gonna just buy the Platty and when she asks about it, say something like "Well, it was a real bargain - only $9,000! It's worth many times more than that!!!" (to you )

Your assumption is that she just started to think there is something wrong with you.

I think it's an affliction we all suffer with. Your wife should be happy that you're just looking at a watch, not other women.

You can ask why she wants a new kitchen while the current one is like only 10 years old, same to why she wants a Prada bag when the last LV purchase was around Easter, or why she keeps on dragging me to look at houses we can't afford.

I purchased my YM 2 months ago and my LV last week. What a pair. Tell your wife 2 months is the perfect waiting period between purchases. |

I own a Sea Dweller. My next watch will be a Deep Sea - Sea Dweller. My wife will not notice a difference and will assume it is the same watch I always wear...
Brilliant! Sean

Heck, my wife knows there is something wrong with me. Fortunately, I live in a state of blissful denial.

There are just some things the wife doesn't understand. I just ordered a new SS DJ, which I don't even have yet, and I am already prepping her for a Sub. I don't think she will buy in anytime soon, but the more she hears about it the easier it will be at some point in the future.

The GMT won her over instantly though....I needn't have worried. I did promise I wasn't going to buy any more watches .....not sure how I'll weasel out of that.
