512 Trade

Need some advice. I bought a PAM 512 in December. I really loved this watch when I first bought it, but it feels like the honeymoon is over. Would you trade it for a 116520 White SS Daytona + cash if you had the chance, or keep the PAM with the hope that the love returns?

I own both the 512 and 116520. The former gets more wrist time, what don't you like about it?

Keep in mind, Panerai just dropped the 512 from $7800 to $7200, while the Daytona is still $12000.
The resale on the 512 is also terrible (a trusted seller listed an used P-serial for $5500 for the longest time), so your + cash may be high.

I dunno, maybe I'm just bored with it. Since I'd take such a hit maybe I should just keep the 512 add the 116520. :)

If bored, time for a new strap. Definitely a cheaper option... And you'd get to keep the 512.

Keep!

I say keep the Panerai and pick up the Rolex. Always nice to have a change up!

Years ago I bought a Bell & Ross 03-92 and the exact thing happened to me. I bought a few different straps for it and realized it just wasn't a daily wearer. I didn't flip it because I still like the watch just not like I did when I first bought it. The good news when I do wear it I get that feeling of when I first bought it. I say keep the watch because it is beautiful piece. I would also go as far as saying you will regret selling it down the road. I don't know if this would be the same for you but hopeful it gives you a different perspective.

Keep the 512 and just save up for that Daytona. The 512 is a looker among all the Pams that I have been lusting for.
