Pulsations dial watches

So I am looking for a watch with a pulsations dial that I can wear on a day to day basis on the medical unit (most still allow watches to be worn on the wrist) that will stand up to being cleaned with virox wipes, alcohol swab, hand sanitizer and hand washing on a regular basis. I want to throw it on a rubber strap and although I want something nicer than a timex I don't want a vintage Rolex pre-daytona or a Patek.

So far the Longines Asthometer pulsations chronograph or a Omega Speedster pro with a modded pulsations bezel insert seem to be my best options would probably go for something similar to this mod http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...ght=pulsations

I found a Kobold "Doctor's watch" but it has a coin edge that I'm not a fan of and seems a lil less legible. Also aware of the ALS 1815 with pulsations dial but is more than I want to spend for a work watch and think it wouldn't be right as something thrown on rubber to be used and abused. Am I missing anything else that makes a good option?

My other thought was a 16750 Explorer II polar, no pulsations but just an easy watch to keep track of time on the 24h scale in all lighting, and tough enough to take the frequent hand washing and sanitizers. Would also put it on a rubber strap and unless I spent a lot of time cleaning after a shift would keep it in a ziploc bag outside of working as I do with my sneakers from work and my scrubs until they are washed.

With what you have described and contact with chemicals I would be wearing a basic G-Shock.

It's a bit pricey, but this could work.

If you can find a good used Omega Speedmaster Professional, you can then buy a Pulsations bezel from Otto Frei Co or on eBay....

The look great, work great, and can take a lot of abuse...

Nice idea, then you can switch bezels back later.

But doesn't 15 pulses in 5 sec. = 180bpm?
Frei & Co. need to fix that...

This is probably my top choice now but would want a bezel with the correct calculations and would probably swap the dial and second hand as well.

The St. Gallen also looks interesting though, it appears to not actually be a chrono but the 4 way second hand while less aesthetic would be better than a traditional second hand. A lot of them seem a bit difficult to read, the PPRL seems the best of the bunch.
