Oh Joy, Oh Rapture; Oh Heartbreak, Oh Despair!!!
It's a year since I received my 114060; I find that it is too bulky, heavy, and cumbersome to be comfortable. I was looking at trading in my 14060 and 16013 and found resistance because of age and condition. The 14060 has a minor chip on the crystal, it is a two liner t<25. I decided that because of all the circumstances and my desire for a DJII to trade in the 114060 towards the BNIB DJII. The Sub C is on it's way and hopefully before long I'll see the DJII. I've also decided to send the 14060 into RSC for service to get the chipped crystal replaced and perhaps get a service dial and hands with lume that works. Suffice it to say I have mixed emotions about saying good bye to my sub C and I look forward to the 116300.

If it's not working for you no reason to keep it around. There's many other choices

Why not go for the 36mm DJ, if you find the 40mm bulky?

It's not the size, it the weight of the 114060; the 14060 feels just fine and is 40mm as well. Besides I have a 16013.

If you are making the trade (and hoping the DJII will be more comfortable) simply based on the weight, I am not sure you moved the needle much:)
In fact, I find the Submariner a little more comfortable because of the Glidelock clasp.

I hope you find the DJII more comfortable but I've tried both and because of the glidelock, SubC was better for me. Your experience might be different.

I too found the sub, while beautiful, too bulky.
I too took my time coming to this realization. I did find the DJ2 to be more comfortable and more balanced. I hope you find satisfaction in your flip. Looking forward to pics.

I found the DSSD too bulky so moved to the at first anorexic subc. Not sure there's much difference to the DJ2 but if it works for you then fine.

Since you have another sub, I think it's a good move to get into something you want..

And so the DJII will be the BD present instead. My wife certainly doesn't want her present to me unused. Dang, you're sharp as always, Adam. New watch is due in the AM.

I only remember because it was locked away for a couple of weeks ahead of your birthday, and there was much anticipation. Hope the DJII is a keeper

There are so many watches that come and go on this forum I'm genuinely flattered that you'd remember. Thanks for the well wishes on the new one.

looks great , i really miss the large crown at 12: 0-clock on my DJ dial ! i looked down at it for so many years not realizing that was part of what i liked until now that i have a SUB DATE and EXP II and the 12:00 spot is taken up by the inverted triangle plot . simple things i guess are looked at so different by different people !
congrats ,that new DJII is a beauty ! |

As much as I love the 114060, as soon as I saw which DJII you chose I knew you did it right. That blue stick dial/smooth bezel is HOT! Congrats, and...happy birthday?
