Just a ? Why ban Archie

I was in the middle of posting a comment on Archie's thread and by the time I was done he was banned. I don't really like his fowl mouthed youtube videos but he does sometimes have a good collection review and the occasional nice review. Just curious as to why he was banned and what others might think of him?

It's been a long standing practice of TRF not to discuss why members were banned. Aside from the obvious spammer of course.

I've been a member in many forums over the years. Not just watch forums, but for many different hobbies.

I haven't been here too long, but I can honestly say the ones here are by far the best I've seen. Not just from a moderation perspective. The amount of knowledge they have is incredible. The potential to learn something new is greater here than any other forum I've been a part of.

If they've chosen to ban someone, it's for a good reason and they don't need to explain themselves to anyone.

Thanks guys.

The best answer is that he was banned for good reason. The moderators on TRF are patient to a point and fair. Nobody gets banned without good reason and sometimes we don't know why because it might be a snarky comment made to a moderator in a PM.

Who knows why and I don't care why and have no need to know as we used to say in the military. I have been a member here for 8 years because it is peaceful. I come here to chill. Not to get barked at by someone saying something to me that they would never say to my face.

Keep up the good work Mods.

As mentioned, we do not discuss why any single member gets banned (we don't care who does the asking). One thing that will result in an immediate ban though, is a previously banned member re-appearing. If you are banned permanently, there was a reason, and that does not change without first discussing the issue, in private, with TRF Admin.

I don't see "demanding" things in the open forum from the mods ending well for you...

The best part of this forum, is the fantastic library of knowledge stored here, and the great sense of camaraderie you'll find by the stella members who frequent the boards..... All of this is a far cry in both fact and function of the individual you speak of!

As my esteemed colleges have said, and will always, a banned member will remain so....and for good reason!

My suggestion is to remain in the realm of decency, and forget the fiction of an inherent attention seeker.

I would like to say thanks to everyone who posted a comment to this thread. I have read all of them and value everyone's knowledge and opinion. I would assume this is the differance between people like me and people like Mr. Archie I care what others have to say. For me to have responded the way I did may not have been the exact way to go about it. And for that I do apologize. The great thing about this forum is it's people no matter there status/rank. I believe it is not what you know in this world but who you know. I don't think my question was supposed to come off as a demand but more trying to figure out the situation. I don't think it is bad for a member to question why someone is banned maybe people would like to know what not to do. But to just jump someone because they question you as if they have no value whatsoever isn't the right thing to do either. Just my 2 cents which is worth just that.
