Help needed, total noob
I am totally new to Panerai and am considering getting one, but would like to get your opinions on what should I buy, which aspects to consider, and what should be the best first and maybe only Panerai I will have.
I'm really liking the Radiomir case, and would like a big case since my wrist is big. My current watches are the Rolex 116610lv aka HULK, and AP Diver steel, and will buy an AP 15400 soon. My wrist size is 8" Here is a pic of a 323 I have tried on ![]() Thanks for the help guys! |

If one PAM and done, and that PAM is a 47 mm Rad, then I would say 232. Yes, you'll have to buy used, but it is one of the purest and best Panerai you can get without delving into vintage.

I agree with Cru on the 232.
![]() If you want new, in a 47mm Rad case, the 425 is very clean and can be had at an attractive price point. |

Thanks for your help, but as I am new to Panerai I would like to know why are all the recommendations are for simplistic dials with no complications?
I do want a new watch not used, and it does not have to be a Rad, all suggestions are welcome but a bigger case is preferred. and let's say with a $14,000 budget |

PAM372 or PAM587 are pretty nice examples at 47mm.

So today I tried on the 372 and really really liked it
![]() Now I'm between the 372 and the 323, I know that the comparison is like apples to oranges but these are the two that I like. I like the simplicity and the color of the dial on the 372, the case presence, and the plexiglass. On the other side I like the GMT complication, date function, and the 10 day power reserve on the 323 Given my other watches mentioned earlier what do you think I should get? |

honestly...the 372 is quickly becoming THE Panerai to own if you can carry the 47mm (which you can)...the crown guard is the main hallmark of Panerai...
This coming from a Radiomir case lover...

Ravager135- I have seem your post of the 587, and need your help deciding to go with a 587 or a 116610LV ?
I currently owe a Deep Sea and a Pam233 What do you recommend and also which one would hold the value better? |

449 or 372, you have the wrist to carry off a 47mm.

That 372 seems to fit just right.

I have to say...I don't like the GMT execution on Pams. Imprecise looking IMO. I prefer the simpler dials. Now I do have a 312 with a date...id be happy without it, but the easy strap change system can't be beat. |
