Flip my SD4K for a Polar 216570....

I currently have a BLNR and SD4K. Thinking of flipping the SD4K for a Polar Explorer. I can't flip the BLNR as it was a gift. Was thinking having a white and black dial watch would be a good combo. Thoughts?

I have a BLNR and Polar 216570 and the 216570 is my favourite watch. I love the BLNR too though. I would absolutely hate to ever have to get rid of either of them. I think they make a great pair

I wouldn't get rid of that SD4K. I'd save up and get the Explorer II Polar at a later date but that's just me.

If the savings you make due to the cost difference go straight into your gold president savings account then I think it's worth the swap. You won't be disappointed with the Polar, however do try it on first for size.

I can't see flipping for the polar. If you can, save up and add it.

Keep what you have, buy the Exp2 polar later. You'll have a great trio.

Depends if you want 2 gmt functions? I think dive plus gmt is the road i would personally take.

Plus, for a two-watch collection, I agree that there's more versatily with a BLNR and white Explorer II.

Really only you know what you'll be happy with. None of the watches in question are irreplaceable so why sweat it. I just flipped my 114060 for a DJII and I'm quite happy with the switch. The Dub had been a gift from my wife. I explained to her why I did what I did and she was fine with it. The DJII is now the gift from my wife.

Although that said, I think the GMT and the Exp II would make a great pair.

I flipped the previous model sea dweller for the 216570. No regrets.

If you aren't liking the SD and want a change then yes. I'd imagine you'll get a pretty price for the SD since its realitively new

Not sure why but the 216570 doesn't do it for me so I'd stick with the 116600 which does.

Would not flip my SD4K for any other SS Rolex. But you should do what you feel like

The 116600 is an incredible watch but go with what YOU want. You can always flip it back.
This is why I have so many SS watches, hard to let go even when you want another.

Then you might just sell the SD4000 and wear the BLNR until you save up for the President.

That being said, the SD4000 is the only current Rolex sport watch that I'd consider buying, so I'd personally keep the SD4000.

Go ahead if SD4000 does not sing to you. Exp II Polar is a distinctive sport watch because it has a white and larger (42 mm) dial with a non-rotating bezel. Then you can add a Sub-C LV to form a SS trinity together with BLNR and EXP II Polar.

Only you can make that call. Personally I would not make that flip. Make sure you try on the explorer for size. It will wear much different than the others you have. For myself, the 216570 is not nearly as comfortable as the BLNR or my 16600. When wearing, i was always aware that I had it on. My other watches have that "put on and forget about it" feel. But then again my wrists are small at 6.75". It may work better for you.

No way I'd flip a SD for a ExpII. I suspect you'll end up missing the SD and regretting the trade.
