Confussed As Hell

Ok guys, I have kind of decided that I want a two line 14060M. The reference chart that I picked up somewhere on line says that the watch in question (M) was produced in 2007. However, I find in my chart that the 4 line COSC dial was introduced in 2006 and beyond. What gives?

I have seen posts in different places where people are talking about their 2 liner 14060M's. Did Rolex make both 2 and 4 liners in the 14060M?

Thanks in advance!

I think M serial was first series with 4 liner and there were still 2 liner M's already manufactured.

I haven't a clue. With all due respect to the many well informed members here, I'm not a collector, so I don't care about two lines or four, red line Subs or red date wheels. I have a few nice watches, bought new based on my desire to have some really nice, durable, accurate up to date time pieces. And thanks to a little guidance from reading the posts here, I couldn't be happier with now things have turned out. Good luck.

I think that you are confusing the 14060M with the release of M serial number prefixes.

14060M is a complete model number for the Sub from 1999 until the release of the 114060 last year. It was preceded by the 14060 from ~'89 to '99; all 14060 Subs are "2 liners", most 14060M are 2 liners.

There are many, many 14060M Subs that are 2 liners as the 4 line font only appeared during the last couple of years of production.. The watches are identical except for the paint on the dial, but you have over 20 years of 2 liners to choose from (14060 and14060M)..

All the M stands for in the 14060M is for modified movement the change from the cal 3000 to the cal 3130 in 2000.And all the 4 line stands for is that the movement was COSC tested but exactly the same movement in the two line 14060M.

By the looks of the thread title, I wasn't sure if you were confused or concussed? LOL

Deciding on a Rolex can sometimes make us feel like a combination of the two!

Blue parachrom spring at the end of the run? I've got a 14060M, random serial number blue spring and thought they weren't that common.
