Icon20 PAM 577 - ceramic 1940s SLC

Where did this one come from? Didn't see any news about it.

* 1940s Radiomir
* SLC dial
* ceramic
* 48mm
* P.3000 movement
* pig on dial
* smoked rear sapphire

Thanks for posting buddy Cru!

Looks a mutation of another mutation of another mutation... I think?

When it comes to Panerai, the more simple, the better.

I had the luxury of seeing this beauty in Geneva at SIHH2015. We weren't able to talk about it or write an article until it's final release which was today. Just posted this on the site as well. It's definitely a beauty in person.

Just like with the 508, I find that Panerai's ceramic and the ecru lume go really well together, and I usually am the first to criticize OP's "fauxtina".... Here, it really just looks like a color choice, and not an attempt at fake vintage.

Beyond that, the pig (which doesn't stand out too much and adds character to the dial) and the SLC are both cool in my book, and the smoked rear is a pretty sweet bonus.

So, yeah, I'm a fan, even if at 48, it's way too big for me.

Not working for me...
I associate the SLC dial with a (traditional) Radiomir so it looks somewhat odd to me. throw in the modern ceramic and yeah, the embossed SLC logo...

OT - I wonder what the PIG logo would look like if they had come up with a 2D representation, (like the actual OP logo)... hmm.

Thought the CarboTech a more interesting 'alternative metal ' piece, and liked the mild blue highlights...

And the 619 for a classic clean piece...wasnt a fan of the 577, seemed even larger than its case size... imo
