Buying AP online.......how does warranty works

hi i see online retailers selling models of AP watches not available in both boutique and local Authorized Retailers. is there risks buying online? do i still get the same warranty from AP 2+1? or is it buying online i void the AP warranty because the booklet is not stamped and get the retailers warranty in stead.

thx for all the advices

i dont know if we are allow to name the online retailers on the forum for open discussion, if its allowed maybe you guys can give me some better advices

If you buy from a trusted seller here you will get the full AP warranty not the seller's own warranty. I would only buy this way even from an online retailer for a new AP, a seller's warranty is only useful for older than 2 years APs.

As long as the watch was sent in for the water-resistance testing, you should get the 3rd year warranty from AP when buying from an online retailer.

As long as the paperwork are filled in and stamped properly the warranty goes with the watch and not the original owner...

It really does not mean anything. AP keeps their own records and will tell you if the watch is within warranty or out. You need to contact your appropriate service center with the serial # and you will get all the info on the watch you need.

I got a preowned trade-in from a dealer with a boutique stamp, does that mean it has a 5 yr warranty?
