Warranty question

Two years ago i bought a deepsea from watchfinder.co.uk as i traded in my Millgauss with them and paid a little on top to get the beast.
It came with a two year warranty and i got told that i should bring it in on the 23rd month so they can check it and make sure it is all in order and working correctly. Would that mean that it gets a full service and polish? Any ideas? Or has any member from the uk bought from them and had the same scenario.
I guess i could give them a call and ask them what it entails but thought i would ask on here first.

I can only imagine they will give the watch a once-over to confirm nothing is out of place and then hand it back. No actual service provided unless there really is a warranty issue (unlikely). It is more so an excuse to bring you in the store so their sales staff can drive repeat business.

If the watch is running fine, don't bother. No reason to open it up.

I gave them a call and the watch was bought on a buyback guarantee so after two years they would buy it back from me for the exact same price i paid for it.
They don't service it just give it the once over but i am not parting with the deepsea so will probably just skip the whole ordeal. The watch is running fine and like people have mentioned there is no point opening up the watch for no reason.
Would it be wise to get it pressure tested? Is this normally a free service at an ad?

Do you dive with the watch or regularly have watch submersed in water if not then no need to pressure test till service time. The pressure check will be charged and only the RSC can test to the rated DSSD pressure that man or superman will never need or use.

That buyback guarantee is pretty sweet. Buy a Rolex wear it for free for two years and then get your money back if you want.

Agree but like all things expect there are a bit more rules to this buy back after two years that meets the eye.

Is this a buy back deal where they give you full credit on a new Rolex purchase?

Quote:
Your watch may be accompanied by our buy back guarantee (if advised accordingly), which means that we guarantee to purchase your watch from you for a sum of at least the value stated in your buy back letter (the “Offered Price”) on or after two years following your purchase of the watch from us, subject to the following terms and conditions.

The buy back guarantee is subject to us inspecting your watch and your watch being returned us in good and saleable condition with all associated boxes, paperwork, link(s) and all other components (where applicable). Any devaluation as a result of a missing box, paperwork, link(s) and/or components will lead to a deduction from the Offered Price. Any servicing or refurbishment work deemed as necessary by us will be deducted from the Offered Price. In particular, we may make deductions from the Offered Price for wear of the watch strap, glass, clasp and other cosmetic damage, as well as normal wear-and-tear and damage caused to your watch by accidents, mishandling, mistreatment or negligence.

In order to maintain your buy back guarantee, you will need to return your watch to us at least once every 2 years from and including the date of purchase so that we may carry out a health check on your watch
So you must take it in to preserve this "guarantee".

Sweet? I would be surprised if anyone ever got their full purchase price back and even then you have not had anything for "free" for two years. You could have done something else with that money.

Yes they give you full money back or maybe they just give you credit back, i never really asked as i have no intention of getting rid of my deepsea. Obviously the watch has to be in reasonable condition i assume.

A local AD here has that buyback policy BUT it only works if you trade a SS watch for TT, or trade in a TT for full PM. Nice way to move up if you want.
