What make the difference is the VAT percentage.

Brussels and Amsterdam are 21%
Paris is 20%
Luxembourg is 17%

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
They have 4 or 5 store (incl the Rolex boutique) owned by the same company.
Sports models are limited in selection unless you have time to browse all the store.
I told the sales I want a Milgauss Z-blue which they don't have in that particular store. She called each store at the airport untill she found one and picked the watch for me.

I did not went to the AD in Paris. I was with my wife at Galleries Lafayette and browse the Rolex counter. As usual the sports models were limited. I saw several WG Daytona, all Milgauss, 1 Pepsi GMT II, TT Sub. They have 3-4 display for non-sport. Also here, you have get your paperwork prepared to claim the VAT back. If you leave from Paris CDG or Orly they have a machine to scan your paperwork. If the machine give you a green light, you don't have to ask stamp/see the custom officer.

At least you don't have to pay US sales tax..plus you get almost all of the VAT back.
The biggest problem is if they have the watch that you want.

Gassan Schiphol airport is the place to be if you are only changing flight and not visiting Amsterdam. If you are visiting Amsterdam then Gassan Dam Square and Gassan Rolex butique are the places to be.

Paris: The Galleries Lafayette has alwas a nice selection of Rolex watches....

Hi , I live part time in Paris ,and for month now there are no sports model for sale except if you were on a waiting list.
My advice , forget about the Vad difference in european countries , and grab the watch you desire right away when you are lucky enough to find one during your trip.
