Will a 116610 Submariner bracelet fit a 116710 GMTII?

Will the bracelet reference 97200 supplied with a 116610 Submariner Date fit a 116710 GMII?
I prefer the brushed links and would like to change to this bracelet for my BLNR.

Yes the 97200 bracelet will for the 116710 case, but you need to use the spring bars from the original bracelet (the Subs springbars won't locate on the the 116710 case)

mission accomplished

As Sam (SC11) stated, you must use the GMTII springbars to install the Submariner bracelet on the GMTII.
The lug at the end of the GMTII springbar is smaller in diameter.
In addition to the all brushed bracelet, you also gain the benefit of the Oyster glide lock clasp.

Yep as stated use the correct spring bar and good to go. It's the only way I wore my blnr when I had it. (Had a sub so no sourcing was required) contact a trusted seller or maybe post in the WTB. They aren't cheap though.

Looks great, this is how it should have come from the factory in my opinion and the added benefit of the glidelock clasp is a real bonus.

Opinions opinions. I quite like the polished links. And what benefit does a glidelock clasp have on a GMT? I can see it on a dive watch. Plus the GMT polished bracelet has the Easylink extension.

Really a personal preference isn't it.
For me, the brushed bracelet is a tool watch homage to the GMTII 16710 that was replaced by the 116710 with polished center links.
I think 99% of the Submariners including mine never are used as dive watches. However, living in a climate with four seasons, I often use the guidelock to make small adjustments to the bracelet during the day. At this time of the year, I find it helpful during a variety of outdoor activities.

Looks much better brushed than polished, Ken. Nicely done, my friend!

It looks great either way. Thought about doing the same but I actually love the look of PCLs on the BLNR. The glidelock is a nice bonus.

Buddy Mark,

That combo really rocks.. and the main reason why I sold the BLNR since I really enjoy the glideloc. Win-win combo there friend!

Thinking about doing this. Can anyone confirm this works seamlessly using the 97200 glidelock bracelet and original spring-bars from the 116710? Does everything fully lock into place securely? Read some stuff about possibly needing to use spring-bars from a Yachtmaster so wanted to see if anyone has done this using just the 97200 and GMT springbars, and how it turned out. Thanks

Confirmed. It works and is more comfortable than the PCL bracelet. Loving it.

The 6 digit Subs spring bars have a larger pivot end, so will not lock into the smaller hole in the GMT lug. However, they both use the same diameter spring bar.
