If you buy from AP directly, is the warranty 5 years rather than the usual 2+1?

Generally, yes, but it does vary by boutique. Not all offer the 5 year warranty (or at least they did not offer it in Tokyo when I bought a watch there 18 months ago).

NYC Boutique yes, I received 5 year when I bought.

Don't know about boutiques in other countries.

Well that's because the LV "boutique" is really a Westime store co-venture. Buy in NYC for 5 year.

In Kuwait it's 2+1, I asked about the warranty about 2 weeks ago and was told that they didn't even know about the 5 year warranty.

I received the 5-Year Warranty from the Vegas Boutique.

Is this 5 years warranty the 2+1 warranty and then an additional 2 years complementary service?

I did speak to AP in Switzerland and they mentioned that AP's policy is to provide only a 2+1 warranty.
