Anyone ever flipped a 15202?

If so, what was your reason?

I ask I see a lot of love for this watch on the forum but also see a lot of serial flippers (myself included!)

Just wondering as I am contemplating buying this watch but given the amount involved, I'm keen to hear of user experiences from those that have sold a 15202.

Thanks

I don't think I'd ever flip a 15202. Absolute grail for me.

I chose the 15202 over the 5711 (definitely too slim for me).

Haven't thought about flipping this beauty. Of course, I'm known to turn around on a dime.

LOL. I never liked it originally. I had one 15400s and flipped it. Then I had 2 x 15300s (blue and white) and flipped both. Tried 15202 again the other day and I'm in love. Damn.

I was at the AP boutique yesterday and tried it on again. Lady goes it's a classic and really flies of the shelves. I said I love it now. I had concerns about the missing seconds hand and the non-quick set date. She goes it's no big deal. Very easy to set and looks clean. Then I play with the watch and proceed to move the hours passed midnight. She goes: No, no, no.... please don't!!! It's a pain to set the date!!! LOL

Now that's funny. It's true, anything other than a few days off and its a pain.

Lol funny and true. Date can be a pain if it's like 15 days off. Lol. I don't mind sometimes I don't even set the date. It's just a beauty.

I continued to acquire different version of RO Jumbo and if I come across one that interesting, I may consider to buy again. The jumbo is beautiful watch.

At least you don't have to do 2 full rotations to advance the date! I think it is quite easy as only move hands to 1:00 then back to 11:00 and then past 12:00 etc. If it was like old vintage Rolex where you have to go all the way around twice that would stink!

agreed, and this is what I do. its a nice feature but still no quick set. plus, with this beauty of a watch, it just feels wrong doing it this way like im hurting the movement. I know this insn't true but it goes against the grain of all my other watches.

You aren't hurting the movement and that is exactly what is written in manual. It is similar to the way many older vintage watches worked like Tudor, Heuer etc. You can always do the 2 full winds around if you feel better of course.

DON'T DO IT! I can see you chasing it down again.

Only way I would agree with the move is if it is for the RG one!
