Anthracite 44 vs. Schumacher Ti
Just hypothetical, but which one would you pick up and why?
Assume BNIB for the Anthracite 44 and mint pre-owned for the Schumacher Ti. Thanks guys. Pics from the WWW.

The Bal Harbour Boutique has an anthracite dial 44mm by the way. Played with it last week and I was quite impressed. A lot more contrast over the old black dial.

Really depends what's already in the collection (like other 44mm ROO novelties) but head to head I would lean towards the ceramic anthracite. I would probably put it on the gray schumi strap to break up the black and better match the dial.

Anthracite 44 vs. Schumacher Ti
Two of my favorite watches. Have owned the Shumi Ti, it's a great watch but didn't POP. I love the flange on these ROO's to be metallic in color, like on the steel, GPC and now the anthracite. It really makes the watch stand out. So my short answer.....The anthracite. PS. If you have found a Shumi Ti, buy it in my opinion, it not only will retain its value it will rise. 🍻

Thanks for this post.... I have been looking at the AP Anthracite 44 as well and the very same thought has been intriguing me... I have started looking more closely at the AP Ti Schumacher as well but have not been able to really compare prices as not many up for sale.
Having tried on the Anthracite it is simply stunning... If & when I do get one I will be placing it on the GP strap for some more pop!!! Cheers, Abner |

Anthracite 44 vs. Schumacher Ti

Thanks buddy. Interesting to hear. No, haven't been looking but curious to hear thoughts on this. I did play with the anthracite 44 the other day and was impressed. Best Quote:
Good stuff Abner! Either are quite impressive watches. I like the ceramic bezel and tachymeter on the 44 but the Ti is very interesting and limited production of 1.000 which adds some allure. Good luck! Very cool! Tks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had high hopes for the Schumi when it came out, but also found everything a bit more monotone. I'd go 44 in this case.

They're both a bit muted for my taste and I prefer the FC 44mm because all black I think is a better look, but of the two I'd take the Schumi as the red accents give it a little pop. I saw the anthracite at the nyc boutique (the salesman said he was surprised how poorly they'd been selling) and was not at all impressed.

As a Ti Schumi owner I say go Schumi. For me I prefer the bez, machine screws and red accents over the new ceramic. Also as mentioned not a lot of them to be found on the secondary market tells you something about its desirability.
Both great choices to have though😄 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For me Schumi as it is just a more special piece IMHO. I will tell you though that I battled back and forth between both Schumi and Anthracite and ended up going in a totally different direction with the RG 44. Why? For the money felt it was just a lot more watch with RG and the contrast pops so much more than either above. So clearly it is subjective but truly all are so nice and one can't go wrong with any of the 44's!

I miss my Ti Schumi everyday. Love that watch and would grab one in a heartbeat.
Anthracite is of course amazing and new so makes things harder. Tough one but probably Schumi for me. |

Fwiw, I'd take the 44mm FC over either of those, and prefer the black dialed Ce over the Anth. |

For me, Schumi, no doubt about it! It is just a more special piece.

Schumi for me. Saw the 44 antracite at the nyc boutique this week and was underwhelmed. Prefer the plat/rg 44 to the antracite but my favorite offshore is the schumi.

I just went through this decision, and ended up with the anthracite piece. I would like a schumi, but ultimately decided I would rather go rose gold when the time came for that piece. I think these are both winners personally.

As much as I like the Schumi, I'd go Anthracite 👍

I would go with the Anthracite. I don't like the pushers on the shumi. It looks really large with the monochromatic color scheme.
But I agree with Ken and would go RG over both.

I would go metal. Just for the simple fact you scratch or ding it they can polish it. You chip the ceramic you have to buy a new case. Especially if you are a flipper never would risk it. Soon er or later it will happen especially on the sharp thin points

Love the anthracite but looking at them side by side the Schumi is more visually interesting, esp love the cermet bezel and screws, but the bat-wing pushers still put me off. As Ken said I'd probably choose RG 44mm over both, big surprise.

Both really nice but I would go with the new anthracite AP. Overall looks better balanced visually since the pushers are not as prominent as the Schumi's.

I would pick the Anthracite model. In my eyes, no contest!
