I know the right is more collectable, but the color of the left is nice!!!

Both beautiful. I actually like the slightly more faded, lime colored bezel on the right.

Wow awesome pic. Why is the one on the right more collectible? Less made?

Notice the 4 on the bezel on the right hand side watch has a flat top. This is known as a 'fat' 4. The models with fat 4s were the true anniversary 16610lvs manufactured in 2003. Considered rarer and more collectable than other years.

I love the one on the left - but both awesome watches. I can't believe I haven't bought one yet.

The second rolex I ever owned, and the first one I saw in person that I realized was a rolex.

Nice watches, I like the left one with it's darker color green! The one on the left, is that a Mark 5? The latest model of the 16610LV reference?
Was the one with the Rolex engraving on the rehaut only produced for over a year or something and only on the Mark 5 (2008-2009)? |

Oval 'O' , 5 tick, in addition to the flat/fat 4, and another feature I forgot. The 2003 green bezel is more pastel in colour and the year represents a true 50th anniversary sub. The original box of 2003 comes with Rolex tissue, which is subsequently removed afterwards.

Yes I am likeing the lighter shade of green on the right. This coming from a guy who has had three of the darker green LVs.
I had a chance about 5 years ago to buy a Y with that shade at a grey in Tokyo. No box or papers but the original sales receipt . It had a small rust hole in the bezel at about 11 o'clock . Small but visible to the naked eye so I passed. It was about $4500. The one that got away. |
