Genuine or fake?

Hi I'm thinking of buying this watch but the seller is about a 6 hour drive, I'm not an experienced Rolex buyer and want to know if this is genuine or not before I go all the way down there?

Buy the seller before you buy the watch.

There is no way I'd drive 6 hours to buy that watch, even if it were legit.

I wouldn't normally however I've wanted that model for a while and it's a very good price, would always rather see a watch before buying too.

I don't know if it is the angle that the pic was taken but something doesn't look right imo...

What does a good price mean?

The only way I'd ever do that is if I considered myself an expert at determining a gen or a fake.

If I could not, scammers prey on people like you who have more money than knowledge about the watch, and lure you with a good price.

You're better off either 1. Spending considerable amount of time learning how to authenticate watches on your own and you consider yourself an expert, or 2. Buy from authorized dealer, you'll spend more, but you're buying peace of mind.

Something looks up with that dial...but it could just be the angle and oily crystal.

If you reside here in the US, there are many examples of that watch for sale here on the forum and they are genuine pieces. I would be wary of buying that watch. And certainly need to see multiple detailed photos of dial, case, bracelet clasp to determine if the real deal. One photo? No way.

It's very cheap considering the condition it's in and compared to these models I've seen elsewhere. It's selling for around 2100 compared to the 3000+ that I've seen everywhere else

An angled pic like that shows nothing. Apparently you did not read my last post.

If it's too good to be true then it usually is. Also there's no way to tell about the movement inside from these pics. All I'm saying is be careful out there. There are a lot of good fakes.

"Additional pictures" ? There's only one extra picture and not a very clear one as it is taken in direct sunlight.

Looks good but over polished. I have a sub of that generation and to me it looks legit however to be sure we need better and more pictures.

Dial font doesn't look great and the pics are terrible. That, combined with the price makes this sale very suspect - especially give the quality of fake vintage subs/sea dwellers. No movement pic either. Would heed everyone's advice...

If your posting from your phone then you need to post one per post.
