used Rolex from local AD

I recently bought a used 1603 from my local AD. when I bought the watch I was told the watch had not been serviced yet and I could bring the watch in at anytime to receive a full service (this was even given to me in writhing), yesterday I took it in and they said they would not be servicing the watch without charge. Since this is an AD, would I be doing any good to contact Rolex directly or should I just go to small claims court.

What's in writing? Does it say at no cost? Don't think Rolex would get involved. Why didn't they just service the watch before they sold it? Sorry but a lot of questions here.

I think it's a big difference between "bring it in anytime for a full service" and "Bring it in anytime for a free full service".

If you have it in writing I do not see the problem

A full service is no cheap thing and something that would have had cost built in. If not in writing can't see it happening, at least buying used from an AD you should be assured it is legit. I bought my sub used from an AD and got a great deal.
