UK retail price of 'pepsi'?
Now, even after reading this forum almost every day for about a week, I'm not as familiar with Rolex's as I'd like to be - so please bare with me.
I think I'm settling on getting the 'pepsi' - or the one with the green bezel - they both stand out to me, and while I think the standard submariners look great, they just don't jump out at me. I understand this is just an insert though? Exactly what model is a 'pepsi'? I think it's a GMT, right? And what's the latest version? Bringing me to my final and most important question: what's the UK retail price on one of these bad boys? I'm going to start saving about £500 a month, and while I may buy a preowned from this forum, I might opt for the warm and fuzzy feeling of going into an AD (you know what I'm talking about). Thanks all! |

Yes the "Pepsi" is the red and blue bezel insert on the older GMT Master II. The new one has an all black Ceramic bezel. The green one you mean is the Submariner 16610LV.

Hi,
The GMT Master II did not go up in the UK after the latest price rise. I think that is because there was hardly any stock left for the UK market. The current price if you can find one is £2790. It is worth finding any coloured GMT as it is only £26 to have the bezel swopped to the colour of your choice at Rolex London. Regarding finding one, I had the last one from the Leslie Davis/Ernest Jones chain of shops so you will have to ring around out of town. The Submariner LV did go up in the recent price increase and I have even seen a pre used one in the Bond St area for £3600 which is above the retail price for a new one. Most places will do you interest free credit so you don't have to wait until you have totally saved up. The best value is the GMT Master II but again there is a shop at the top of Bond St that was selling an unworn black/red for £3600 which is £800 above the retail price but they were cashing in on the fact that they are rare now. Post a thread on here asking people to look out in their local dealers for the watch you are interested in. Cheers, PeterT |

Can you please suggest a decent place in central London for an 16610LV (green bezel)? What kind of % discount will I be expecting? thanks. |
