For those who don't get the root beer
Not trying to change the opinions of the haters, and there usually are a few, took this photo while reading the paper today, the colour the watch gives in natural light is amazing, the watch is far more dressy than a pepsi or coke. The root beer is a GMT but the experience differs with the TT effect.
Anyway, for those that like these please enjoy the shot. Currently set on the same time, but tomorrow when I fly to the USA via Japan the hour hand will do a fair bit of independent movement from local time zone in Sydney!

I'm certain it is a lovely watch for many. But for me, the colors are... blech. I don't hate it, I just can't stand the colors
Enjoy it. |

Not an RB but still TT. Hard to beat the rootbeer though. I've often wondered what the TB bezel would look like on my LN

That's a beautiful root beer! I wish they still made it. Can u imagine how cool it'd be with a ceramic bezel:)

Craig, have you ever considered putting that beauty on a TT jubilee bracelet? I bet it'd look HOT!

Come on man, haters is such an overused word.
If someone doesn't like the looks of a watch (or disagrees is general with something or someone) people aren't 'hating', they simply have a different opinion. Different strokes for different folks. Besides that, beautiful watch! |

Root beer is an unique piece and I love the two tone color especially with the nipple dial!

It's a lovely watch. I love the nostalgia of it and that it reminds me of that bygone era of pine panelling.

Go Rootbeer! So rare to see these in the wild....
Always nice to see a root beer in that shape.
Have two guys at work, both Vietnam era vets. They sit in cubes almost next to each other. One wears a GMT Master Pepsi and the other wears a Root Beer version. Both watches look like they were bought in the 60s or 70s when the PX (AAFES) used to sell Rolex. Saw really faded bezel inserts, stretched-to-hell bracelets, and both guys in their late 60s. It's always a treat seeing their watches. |

It's personal taste of course. Though my 16710 is probably my favorite, I had long coveted the root beer and had money set aside when the right one came along.
I can see why it is not to everyone's taste. I think the color scheme either speaks to you or it doesn't. To me, it does. I was very pleased when I finally got my 16713. To the OP, great watch! It has pizzazz! I expect to wear mine more in the Fall.

I think the Rootbeer thrives on the Oyster bracelet. I don't like it on the Jubilee, as it might just be a little too much in my eyes.
