As for the luminescence on AP watches – it’s not the greatest, even on the diver models. With the grey colour, it’s going to be weaker.
If you want a watch that acts like a torch, then you need to shift your focus to the likes of an Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver.

I can't edit the post or i would.

Any particular reason you selected the diver strap vs the regular? My hands a bit smaller and am afraid the thick diver strap might make it fit a bit bulky.

I'm not looking for a watch with torch like lame, just curious. I noticed that my ROO has very little lame compared to PAM's. I assumed there would be even less lame on the gray dial as the numbers are black vs white on my current black/red theme.

I noticed that too... the lume on the AP is significantly weaker than Panerai. Here's a shot my AP lume AFTER I shined my iphone flashlight on it for 20 seconds. Needless to say... it was gone in less than a minute

I just LOVED the thicker (wider) look of the diver strap. In fact I was lucky because I almost ordered the rubber strap in black for much less $, and without confirmation, I would have received a rubber strap with the same dimensions as the original gator strap. Fortunately the gray strap only comes in the diver dimensions.

Anyhow, as for the way it looks, I suppose it's kind of subjective but I have pretty small wrists and IMO the wider strap made the watch look much better. The case is big and definitely wears a lot bigger than the specified 42mm. Having the wider strap to match the case seemed to make the watch a little more uniform which in a weird way made the watch look better on a small wrist. Again, just my opinion.

Other aspect was comfort. The strap vastly improved the comfort of the watch IMO. Perhaps having something to do with the wider stance again. Along with the buckle you're looking at a decent investment (approx. $700+), but to me it was worth it.

Good luck!

I love the look of steel on a gray dial so if the gray strap only comes in the diver than i have no choice but to go with it! I'm obsessed with the Schumi but the 44 + pushes is way too big for me, this is a good compromise.

same boat! I absolutely love the 44mm ROO. In pictures, even in the hand I'm in love. I put it on the wrist and it seems laughable. The 42mm ROO on diver strap is perfect!

Yes the CE, my computer is in repair, pics are there, but if you know how to search the forum well, not my case, I posted 2 threads here, for the blue and the grey, with pics of course, when I get it back I'll try to post pics, but won't be soon

That looks stunning mate - elephant or black/red 42mm is next on my list!
